Aimed at equipping teenagers, aged 12-19 years with essential skills, leadership qualities and experiences, “Tech Them Young”, an initiative of Kuros’ Consult Limited was organised.
The 2 weeks training programme afforded participants hands-on-experience on Basic Programming, Video Editing, Photo Editing, Graphics, Content Creation and Camera Handling.
The project was tagged “Raising Young Giants Through Digital Skills.”
The Convener and Project Lead, Becky Clement, said the fact that she could not afford learning due to her parents’ financial state, even though she had wanted to learn, makes her see the need to give back by empowering young people.
She further shares her motivation story:
“My thirst for knowledge and commitment to the growth of children are extremely inspiring. These incentives are significant motivators that push me to make important contributions and have a beneficial impact in various facets of life, particularly with children. I fought for technical talent, and I was able to get through school without begging for money, but by working for it. I got employed at a young age.”
Components of Tech Them Young
