…Food Science and Technology Student of the University of Uyo
One’s life could take a drastic turn from a thriving academic journey to a sudden halt due to a devastating accident, leaving a trail of chronic pain, uncertainty, and a daunting 2.5 Million Naira surgery bill. A life put on hold, awaiting a helping hand to revive hope and restore mobility.
This is the story of Glory Rasheet Yahaya, a 500-level student of Food Science and Technology at the University of Uyo, who was involved in a severe accident on February 22, 2023, which left her with a dislocated left hip bone joint and a displaced femur head.
Despite initial traditional treatment, her condition worsened, and she has been living with chronic pain for a year and 5 months. Medical attention revealed the need for hip surgery to correct the damage, but the 2.5 million Nigerian Naira cost is beyond her means.
Glory is seeking help to cover the surgery expenses so she can return to school and resume her life. She is appealing to all kind hearted individuals for support, no matter how small, to help her achieve this goal.
